Hay Festival

Graphic Design for Festivals: Hay Festival

The Hay Festival is an annual gathering in the staggering beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

We continue our relationship with one of Europe’s largest literary festivals, which began in 2006. The 2011 visual styling was applied across all marketing collateral from the main festival brochure, the pink book – a guide to the festival partners, ‘Hay Fever’ – the childrens festival, site signage and display material.

BBC National Orchestra of Wales

Savage and Gray were commissioned by the BBC to create the new brand identity for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, based in Cardiff.
Utilising extensive market research for the organisation from Audiences Wales we created the new logo,  providing corporate guidelines and developing the  brand through stationery, brochures, posters, national advertising, exhibitions, e-marketing, website and  vehicle livery.

CREST Awards Scheme

CREST is Britain’s largest educational national award scheme for project work in the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). It gives 11-19 yr olds opportunities to explore real world projects in a dynamic way.

Theatr Na n’Og Show Branding

We have just completed the first stage of promotional design for the Neath theatre company, Theatr Na n’Ogs show ‘We Need Bees’. As well as creation the show image and typography, we have also provided design and print for posters and flyers in both English and Welsh. The next stage will see us producing ‘front-of-house’ items including foyer displays.

Coleg Morgannwg

With their £40m Nantgarw campus in Cardiff about to be completed, Coleg Morgannwg requested a campaign to reflect the futuristic facility. Drawing from this, we immediately developed a number of broad themes and from these we created the more direct ‘Your Time, Your Future’ campaign theme.

National Botanic Garden of Wales

The National Botanic Garden is one of the countrys most visited attractions. After a site visit and viewings of the 44 individual aspects of the Garden including the Great Glasshouse, cinema, Apothecaries’ Garden, ice house and gallery our designers provided an high-impact illustrative solution to encapsulate the explosion of variety that the Garden offers. Ensuing marketing materials featured a strong emphasis on the vast array of individual attractions within the Garden, which we felt had been previously lost.
