NHS England, Technology Enhanced Learning – Animated Healthcare Personas

Here’s a set of six animated stories that we produced for Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) at NHS England. The videos feature a variety of healthcare personas and are designed as on-boarding tools to explain to NHS staff the widely different types of situations they may come across.

For this project, we were given existing character designs by the NHS graphics team, and the challenge was to bring them to life as authentically as possible, through their body language, but also in their voices. We used specific voice actors for each character, to get accents that portrayed a wide cross-section of people, including voices from Birmingham, Manchester, Cornwall and South Wales. One video (Krystyna’s Story) even has a native Polish speaking VO artist being translated into English by a second animated character.
